The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 of 36 (To update)

The Second book of Chronicles

Chapter 6

¹ Then Solomon said, "The LORD has said that he would reside in thick darkness.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 1)

Oh God, my Father there are times when You choose to reveal Yourself to us, however, likewise, You may also choose not to do so. On the other hand, we may also choose to draw the curtains on our relationship with You and choose our darkness over Your light Amen.

² I have built you an exalted house, a place for you to reside in forever."

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 2)

Oh God my Father, Your kingdom is that of the light and not one of darkness, however, when I am in deep sin, my body becomes a temple of darkness. I pray that You continue to show me the light of Your presence and permit me to be guided by it Amen.

³ Then the king turned around and blessed all the assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel stood.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 3)

Oh God my Father, how wonderful it is when Church and State are united as one. I pray for unity among the world Amen.

⁴ And he said, "Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who with his hand has fulfilled what he promised with his mouth to my father David, saying, ⁵ Since the day that I brought my people out of the land of Egypt, I have not chosen a city from any of the tribes of Israel in which to build a house, so that my name might be there, and I chose no one as ruler over my people Israel ⁶ but I have chosen Jerusalem in order that my name may be there, and I have chosen David to be over my people Israel.'

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verses 4 to 6)

Oh God, my Father I thank You for being faithful with humanity from the very first day of our existence. You always seek to dwell among us so that we can experience You fully and in deep relationship. I thank You for Churches where we can attend and make such an experience with You Amen.

⁷ My father David had it in mind to build a house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel. ⁸ But the LORD said to my father David, 'You did well to consider building a house for my name; ⁹ nevertheless you shall not build the house, but your son who shall be born to you shall build the house for my name.'

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verses 7 to 9)

Oh God my Father I thank You for the ideas that You give us for the gift of dreams and intelligence. I pray for help in order for me to accomplish the project that I am working on, If it is according to Your will may it be done that is if You want it from me to be done Amen.

¹⁰ NOw the LORD has fulfilled his promise that he made; for I have succeeded my father David, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised and have built the house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel. ⁱⁱ There I have set the ark, in which is the covenant of the LORD that he made with the people of Israel."

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verses 10 to 11)

Oh God my Father I thank You for being so loyal towards humanity. I thank You for always keeping Your promises, even if this takes a long time to be fulfilled according to our clock and calendar Amen.

¹² Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of the whole assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 12)

Oh God my Father this is also my way of praying. When I open my hands this means that I am here to offer and receive from You Amen.

¹³ Solomon had made a bronze platform five cubits long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high, and had set it in the court; and he stood on it. Then he knelt on his knees in the presence of the whole assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 13)

Oh brothers and sisters as in the case of King Solomon it is nice to have a precious space where we can meet God our Father in prayer and be with Him in both mind and spirit Amen. I thank God for giving me such a space Amen.

¹⁴ He said, "O LORD God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven or on earth, keeping covenant in steadfast love with your servants who walk before you with all their heart- ¹⁵ you who have kept for your servant, my father David, what you promised to him. Indeed, you promised with your mouth and this day have fulfilled with your hand.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 14 to 15)

Oh God my Father indeed there is no God like You, for throughout the ages You have proved to be loyal trustworthy lovable and reliable, even though at times the outcomes appeared to be contrary to my agenda but in time You helped realize that Your way was and always shall be the best Amen.

¹⁶ Therefore, O LORD, God of Israel, keep for your servant, my father David, that which you promised him saying,'There shall never fail you a successor before me to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your children keep to their way, to walk in my law as you have walked before me'

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 16)

Oh God my Father this is why You keep giving us one successor after another after St. Peter as in Pope Francesco even though we do not always follow You faithfully. I thank You for remaining faithful to us Amen.

¹⁷ Therefore, O LORD, God of Israel, let your word be confirmed, which you promised to your servant David.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 17)

Oh God my Father, I pray that You give me the faith, skill and strength to end this blog before I die and leave it online for all to benefit from forever Amen.

¹⁸ "But will God indeed reside with mortals on earth? Even heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you, how much less this house that I have built!

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 18)

Oh God my Father this verse shows Your glory and mighty presence. Even though the heavens and the earth cannot contain Your presence, You have humbled yourself in a piece of material thus consecrated to hold Your very presence which is then given to us during the time of communion. There is indeed nothing greater than this act of glory Amen.

¹⁹ Regard your servant's prayer and his plea, O LORD my God, heeding the cry and the prayer that your servant prays to you.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 19)

Oh God my Father I pray that You listen to my prayer. I need a friend who accepts me as I am and who would be ready to strike a relationship with me. My mother's life span I feel that is coming to its end. I pray that either my daughter calls me or You send me a friend who would be willing to get to know me a genuine person with whom I can grow and seek a long-lasting relationship Amen.

²⁰ May your eyes be open day and night toward this house, the place where you promised to set your name, and may you heed the prayer that your servant prays toward this place.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 20)

Oh God my Father during these times praise and worship was restricted to the temple, however, later on in the New Testament, You taught us that praise and worship can be anywhere as long as it is in spirit and in truth. I offer You the place where every morning and evening we meet in such a spirit of praise and worship Amen. I thank You for such a place Amen.

²¹ And hear the plea of your servant and of your people Israel, when they pray toward this place; may you hear from heaven your dwelling place; hear and forgive.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 21)

Oh God my Father even though we have wronged You in many ways and on different occasions I pray that You listen to our prayers during this difficult time that the world is experiencing and have mercy on us and forgive us our trespasses, even though as humans we do not always forgive those who trespass against us Amen. Oh God please have mercy on us Amen.

²² "If someone sins against another and is required to take an oath and comes and swears before your altar in this house, ²³ may you hear from heaven, and act, and judge your servants, repaying the guilty by bringing their conduct on their own head, and vindicating those who are in the right by rewarding them in accordance with their righteousness.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 22 to 23)

Oh God my Father as humans we are frail and prone to sin. Our righteousness is to be taken with a pinch of salt because by nature we are all selfish and prone to evil each in one's own way. I pray that instead of arriving at a point where we need to take an oath as in court we come before You and pray for enlightenment to find a solution for our problems Amen.

²⁴ "When your people Israel, having sinned against you, are defeated before an enemy but turn again to you, confess your name, pray and plead with you in this house, ²⁵ may you hear from heaven, and forgive the sin of your people Israel, and bring them again to the land that you gave to them and to their ancestors.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 24 to 25)

Oh God, my Father, this is the very moment when the world is pleading for Your mercy and forgiveness, for we have sinned greatly against You. We have given You the second and even the third place in our lives. Dearly forgive us, dear Father, for we know not what we are doing.

²⁶ "When heaven is shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against you, and then they pray toward this place, confess your name and turn from their sin, because you punish them, ²⁷ may you hear in heaven, forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel, when you teach them the good way in which they should walk; and send down rain upon your land, which you have given to your people as an inheritance.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 26 to 27)

Oh God my Father I am fully convinced that You look down upon us humans and have mercy upon our sinful nature, and show us the way that leads to be united with You. I pray that we are humble enough to accept and understand Your warnings by which You may use nature to communicate with us such as lack of rainfall. I pray that we are all tuned on the same wavelength Amen.

²⁸ "If there is famine in the land, if there is plague, blight, mildew, locust, or caterpillar; if their enemies besiege them in any of the settlements of the lands; whatever suffering, whatever sickness there is; ²⁹ whatever prayer, whatever plea from any individual or from all your people Israel, all knowing their own suffering and their own sorrows so that they stretch out their hands toward this house; ³⁰ may you hear from heaven, your dwelling place, forgive, and render to all whose heart you know, according to all their ways, for only you know the human heart.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 28 to 30)

Oh God my Father I am fully convinced of how faithful loving and caring You are. I know that none of my prayers have gone to waste. You are my comfort and consolation and if there is somebody who really loves me, understands me and accepts me as I am with all my strengths and weaknesses this is You Amen.

³¹ Thus may they fear you and walk in your ways all the days that they live in the land that you gave to our ancestors.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 31)

Oh God my Father thus shall be our prayer. May we pledge our love and obedience to You for all our lives and not only when we are experiencing some form of crisis or tribulation Amen.

³² "Likewise when foreigners, who are not of your people Israel, come from a distant land because of your great name, and your mighty hand, and your outstretched arm, when they come and pray toward this house, ³³ may you hear from heaven your dwelling place, and do whatever the foreigners ask of you, in order that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your people Israel, and that they may know that your name has been invoked on this house that I have built.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verses 32 to 33)

Oh God my Father many times we treat You as if You are a magician, do this and do that without ever considering if our wants are according to Your will and without ever thinking of thanking You for being active and intervening in our lives. Amen.

³⁴ "If your people go out to battle against their enemies, by whatever way you shall send them, and they pray to you toward this city that you have chosen and the house that I have built for your name, ³⁵ then hear from heaven their prayer and their plea, and maintain their cause.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verses 34 to 35)

Oh God my Father I pray to You that whatever we do whatever we say in Your mighty name we have Your blessing love and support for without You we can do nothing Amen.

³⁶"If they sin against you-for there is no one who does not sin-and you are angry with them and give them to an enemy, so that they are carried away captive to a land far or near; ³⁷ then if they come to their senses in the land to which they have been taken captive, and repent, and plead with you in the land of their captivity, saying, ' We have sinned, and have done wrong; we have acted wickedly; ³⁸ if they repent with all their heart and soul in the land of their captivity, to which they were taken captive, and pray toward their land, which you gave to their ancestors, the city that you have chosen, and the house that I have built for your name, ³⁹ then hear from heaven your dwelling place their prayer and their pleas, maintain their cause and forgive your people who have sinned against you.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verses 36 to 39)

Oh God my Father when I become angry, when I chose to let go the control of myself, when I let the monster of sin take control of myself, I instantly become a slave to my passions and over my spiritual self. I end up in a state of sin and solitude and if it is not for Your mercy I would remain in this stage of bondage forever. However You love me so much that every time You deliver me from myself. I pray that You make me strong enough to resist falling into the negative state of anger. Amen.

⁴⁰ Now, O my God, let your eyes be open and your ears attentive to prayer from this place.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 6 verse 40)

Oh God my Father I believe that in the Church there is the sacramental presence in the presence of the Eucharist, which makes this place the ideal place where to give worship, however You Yourself told us that we are to worship in Spirit and in truth, and that when two or three are gathered in Your name You will be in our midst. Therefore the place where we worship, does not always make a difference, for we are a living Church wherever we go.

The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 5 of 36

The Second Book of Chronicles

Chapter 5

¹ Thus all the work that Solomon did for the house of the LORD was finished. Solomon brought in the things that his father David had dedicated, and stored the silver, the gold and all the vessels in the treasuries of the house of God.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 5 verse 1)

Oh God my beloved Father, one pope is followed by another, different popes bring a new vision and perspective to the Roman Catholic Church, however, care is to be taken to preserve the basics, the teachings of Jesus and that which was transmitted to the Apostles. It is very important to adjust to the new challenges facing today's society, however, it is not wise to forsake what has been ours in the Church through many generations Amen.

² Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the ancestral houses of the people of Israel, in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 5 verse 2)

Oh God my beloved Father, the place of the king is on his throne in his Kingdom, likewise, the place of the 'Ark of the Covenant' had its place in the temple, likewise, Your place is on the throne of our hearts Amen. Come and build Your throne oh God in Your Sacred place in my heart and in that of all who love You Amen.

³ And all the Israelites assembled before the king at the festival that is in the seventh month.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 5 verse 3)

Oh God my Father, if people come before the human king, how much more should they come before You the King of all Kings Amen.

⁴ And all the elders of Israel came, and the Levites carried the ark. ⁵ So they brought up the ark, the tent of meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the tent; the priests and the Levites brought them up.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 5 verses 4 to 5)

Oh God my Father, no feast is a true feast if it is not celebrated in Your presence, it is only You that makes such feasts of true value Amen, may You always be the core of our lives and hearts Amen.

⁶ King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, who had assembled before him, were before the ark, sacrificing so many sheep and oxen that they could not be numbered or counted.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 5 verse 6)

Oh God my Father to You I am a sacrificial offering, every second of my life I offer myself to You, I offer You both my strengths and all my weakness, because this is the real and only me, the self that you have lent me in order to live this life. I pray for all the people of the world so that they make You the centre of their lives. You who not only received sacrificial offerings but who became the sacrificial offering for all the world. Amen Thank You God my Father.

⁷ Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place, in the inner sanctuary of the house, in the most holy place, underneath the wings of the cherubim.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 5 verse 7)

Oh God my Father, I also pray that You have a secure place in my inner self, my soul and in my brain, and that nobody or nothing will ever replace Your presence in me Amen. I pray to be always under the wing of Your love care and protection. I pray that You give me faith to keep on believing and wisdom to keep on making the right decisions based on my faith and values according to Your Word Amen.

⁸ For the cherubim spread out their wings over the place of the ark, so that the cherubim made a covering above the ark and its poles.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 5 verse 8)

Oh God, my Father, I pray that Your protective wings will always be over me, since the forces of evil never stop trying to harm me. I, therefore, pray for Your constant protection especially today Amen.

⁹ The poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the holy place in front of the inner sanctuary; but they could not be seen from outside; they are there to this day.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 5 verse 9)

Oh God, my intimate Father if You do not permit us to experience You in such a deep way, we would be always as if viewing You from outside of the Sanctuary, thus seeing the shadow of the image but not the form or the image itself. I pray that in time Your relationship with me continues growing Amen. Thanks Jesus.

¹⁰ There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets that Moses put there at Horeb, where the LORD made a covenant with the people of Israel after they came out of Egypt.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 5 verse 10)

Oh God my Father and all my brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. The people of God treasured the covenant that You, my God had made with them, so much that they carried with them the tablets which they considered as being sacred were placed in a special box and special people were also assigned to carry it. When considering our lives do we treasure those special moments in our lives such as when we became Christians or Roman Catholic or maybe any other form of belief. Do we treasure that important document? Do we treasure our Bible's and keep them in a special place as did the people of God?

Oh God You have a special place in my heart, one that nobody can replace. I pray that I treasure You forever Amen.

¹¹ Now when the priests came out of the holy place (for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, without regard to their divisions), ¹² all the levitical singers, Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun, their sons and kindred arrayed in fine linen, with cymbals, harps and lyres, stood east of the altar with one hundred twenty priests who were trumpeters. ¹³ It was  the duty of the trumpeters and singers to make themselves heard in unison in praise and thanksgiving to the LORD, and when the song was raised, with trumpets and cymbals and other musical instruments in praise to the LORD,
"For he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever," the house of the LORD was filled with a cloud, ¹⁴ so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 5 verses 11 to 14)

Oh God my Father when we are united in prayers, when we sing together as one body we are united as one body, so much that the presence of God is both in us and with us. Amen.

Oh Holy and almighty God I would like to end this meditation on the fifth chapter of the Second Book of Chronicles with the following prayer:-

Oh God my blessed Father I pray that everyday of our lives is a celebration in Your Holy Presence. I pray that every time we meet we offer sincere prayers of thanksgiving and praise Amen.

The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 4

The Second Book of Chronicles

Chapter 4

¹ He made an altar of bronze, twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and ten cubits high.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 4 verse 1)

Oh God my beloved Father my prayer corner may not be this big or so richly furnished, for I have only a medium sized wooden desk from which I offer my prayers, however on the other hand, I have other altars everywhere I go, such as my workplace, where I offer You each of my clients, and all the people whom You wish me to come across Amen. Everywhere I go is an altar that can bear much fruit according to Your will Amen.

² Then he made the molten sea; it was round, ten cubits from rim to rim, and five cubits high. A line of thirty cubits would encircle it completely. ³ Under it were panels all around, each of ten cubits, surrounding the sea, there were two rows of panels, cast when it was cast. ⁴ It stood on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east; the sea was set on them. The hindquarters of each were toward the inside. ⁵ Its thickness was a handbreath; its rim was made like the rim of a cup, like the flower of a lily; it held three thousand baths. ⁶ He also made ten basins in which to wash, and set five on the right side, and five on the left. In these they were to rinse what was used for the burnt offering. The sea was for the priests to wash in.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 4 verses 2 to 6)

Oh God my blessed Father, the molten sea reminds me of the basin that is used during the rites of baptism where original sin is destroyed in the consecrated water and is no more. Throughout my life I am in the process of becoming more aware of my sins and being cleansed of them. Each day of my life is one step down into the basin until I am fully immersed and ready to go out from the other side and meet You in heaven Amen. This is my dream. Thank You Jesus.

⁷ He made ten golden lampstands as prescribed and set them in the temple, five on the south side and five on the north.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 4 verse 7)

Oh God my Father may my soul be enlightened by Faith in You. May the temple within me always be enlightened by the flame of faith even though I am still weak and a sinner Amen.

⁸ He also made ten tables and placed them in the temple, five on the right side and five on the left. And he made one hundred basins of gold.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 4 verse 8)

Oh God my beloved Father, You love me so much that You invite me to have fellowship with You. You have even reserved a table and chair and even made a basin which is an opportunity for me to be cleansed both spiritually and physically before I appear before You Amen. I thank You for such an opportunity my God and Father Amen.

⁹ He made the court of the priests, and the great court, and doors for the court; he overlaid their doors with bronze. ¹⁰ He set the sea at the southeast corner of the house.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 4 verses 9 to 10)

Oh God my beloved Father, if I could I would cover the doors and chambers of my heart with gold, so that it could be a worthy dwelling place for Your Holy Spirit. Amen.

¹¹ And Huram made the pots, the shovels, and the basins. Thus Huram finished the work that he did for King Solomon on the house of God ¹² the two pillars, the bowls and the two capitals on the top of the pillars; and the two latticeworks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on top of the pillars; ¹³ the four hundred pomegranates for the two latticeworks, two rows of pomegranates for each latticework, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the pillars.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 4 verses 11 to 13)

Oh God my Father, You have given us all different skills, I pray that we all use them both in the Church and in our everyday lives especially for the good of others and even for ourselves Amen.

¹⁴ He made the stands, the basins on the stands, ¹⁵ the one sea, and the twelve oxen underneath
 it.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 4 verses 14 to 15)

Oh God my Father, in life You have assigned us to different roles, some us are stands meaning reliable and responsible people and others are basins supportive and ready to listen to those who need a shoulder to cry on. Amen.

¹⁶ The pots, the shovels, the forks, and all the equipment for these Hursm-abi made to be burnished bronze for King Solomon for the house of the LORD.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 4 verses 16)

Oh God my Father, whatever our role in the Church or Roman Catholic Church, may we be good instruments that serve our God given purpose Amen. May we be useful in Your hands my God and Father Amen.

¹⁷ In the p-lain of the Jordan the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredah.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 4 verses 17)

Oh God my beloved Father I thank You for being a good listener, I thank You for giving me the opportunity to voice my achievements and my disappointments, and trash out everything with You Amen.

¹⁸ Solomon made all these things in great quantities, so that the weight of the bronze was not determined.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 4 verses 18)

Oh God my beloved Father I pray that like Solomon we learn to invest in our relationship with You in both time of prayer and in time dedicated to helping others, because when we help others it is as if we are helping You Amen.

¹⁹ So Solomon made all the things that were in the house of God; the golden altar, the tables for the bread of the presence, ²⁰ the lampstands and their lamps of pure gold to burn before the inner sanctuary, as prescribed; ²¹ the flowers, the lamps, and the tongs, of purest gold; ²² the snuffers, basins, ladles, and firepans, of pure gold. As for the entrance to the temple; the inner doors to the most holy place and the doors of the nave of the temple were of gold.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 4 verses 19 to 22)

Oh God my beloved Father, whatever our status in life, regardless if we are young or old rich or poor intelligent or of low Iq, we are all instruments at Your disposal. Some of us may have been called to lead a life that is on a more intimate level with You such as the priesthood, while others like myself and many others form part of the laity. Nevertheless we all have an important role to play Amen.

Oh God my beloved Father, I would like to end this meditation on the fourth chapter of the second book of Chronicles with the following prayer.

Oh God my loving Father, as members of Your Church be it the Roman Catholic Church or other churches we are all instruments with a particular role to play. Some of us may be instruments of gold, being called to serve a more intimate life with You, and others such as myself may be instruments made of stone or iron or maybe of bronze, that are used to fulfill other roles.  I pray that during the course of this life, You reveal to us the role and purpose that You have chosen for us to live and give us the necessary qualities to fulfill the roles that You have chosen for us Amen.

The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 3

The Second Book of Chronicles

Chapter 3

¹ Solomon began to build the house of the LORD in Jerusalem on mount Moriah, where the LORD had appeared to his father David, at the place that David had designated, on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 3 verse 1)

Oh God my Father as You know I also started building in the work where  I am working with Your help and according to Your will but it seems that it is time for me to move on the road again. Throughout this week You have been giving me messages in order to prepare me for this change in lifestyle or occupation but only now I am understanding what You meant Amen. I thank You for all the works that we have done together Amen and may Your will continue to be done.

² He began to build on the second day of the second month of the fourth year of his reign.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 3 verse 2)

Oh God my Father, You instructed during the composition of the Bible, that particular days and dates be recorded and commemorated so that we may never forget them. I pray that we also remember days such as our baptism for this is also an important day for us apart from birthdays and anniversaries. The day of our baptism is important because it was the beginning of a new relationship with You as human. Amen. Thank You Jesus.

³ These are Solomon's measurements for building the house of God: the length in cubits of the old standard, was sixty cubits, and the width twenty cubits.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 3 verse 3)

Oh God my Father how far and wide is Your love for us. No building or structure is enough to contain You my God and Father, however, it is through Your love for us, that You send Your presence during the celebration of the Eucharist, baptism and other celebrations.

Oh God my Father I pray for those of us, who have made their religion their personal property that they are willing to share with nobody and that they are willing to even defend with their life and bloodshed if possible. Amen. I pray for Your healing grace, so that religion will be a means of unity and bondage and not a reason to wage wars and loss of life Amen.

⁴ The vestibule in front of the nave of the house was twenty cubits long, across the width of the house; and its height was one hundred twenty cubits. He overlaid it on the inside with pure gold.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 3 verse 4)

Oh God my beloved Father which house can ever contain You, the almighty God. However in our simplicity, we try to build churches and temples and call them houses of God which are consecrated to You, and Your Eucharistic presence is in these places. However, when humans start being involved I have my doubts how long the house remains Your House or if it becomes the people's house. I pray that we respect Your holy presence in such houses by showing the needed respect in how we behave and how we dress. In order for us to have an idea of how this house of God looked like You have given me the following video clip credit to "Messages of Christ" who uploaded this clip.

Solomon's Temple

⁵ The naive he lined with cypress, covered with fine gold, and made palms and chains on it.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 3 verse 5)

Oh brothers and sisters may we all be live naives like the cypress trees that helped to support the whole structure to stand. I pray that we are all adorned with gold meaning human dignity and spiritual cleanness and that we are all spiritually tied to each other with chains of love, respect and relationship that finds its peak in You my God and Father Amen.

⁶ He adorned the house with settings of precious stones. The gold was gold from Parvaim. ⁷ So he lined the house with gold-its beams, its thresholds, its walls, and its doors; and he carved cherubim on the walls.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 3 verses 6 to 7)

Oh God my beloved Father, with what am I adorning the temple of my soul in order to welcome Your presence. Right now I feel that I am using cheap clear glass, for I am not feeling spiritually alive. I pray that You help me in my situation so that my spiritual and social, psychological and physical life can improve Amen.

⁸ He made the most holy place; its length, corresponding to its width of the house, was twenty cubits; he overlaid it with six hundred talents of fine gold.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 3 verse 8)

Oh God my beloved Father, the places where we meet are special and are to be treated with respect, for Your Holy presence dwells in such places. Amen. My prayer corner or area is not that big but in my heart I have a bigger space where You can make Your presence felt Amen.

⁹ The weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. He overlaid the upper chambers with gold.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 3 verse 9)

When we invest in a project oh God my Father, we invest in material resources to fund the project. The same applies in our life of prayer. We invest in our time and make a prayer corner or space which is the special place were we have our meeting with You, which is a special place. Amen. May we all have a special place in our hearts for You and invest in time in being with You Amen.

¹⁰ In the most holy place he made two carved cherubim and overlaid them with gold.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 3 verse 10)

Oh God my Father on reflecting may we all have a special place for You where to give praise and worship, however the best place is in my heart and spirit, which is protected from all sides by my ribs and Your Holy Spirit who has this special place in my being Amen.

¹¹ The wings of the Cherubim together extended twenty cubits: one wing of the one, five cubits long, touched the wall of the house, and its other wing, five cubits long, touched the wing of the other cherub; ¹² and of this cherub, one wing, five cubits long, touched the wall of the house, and the other wing, also five cubits long, was joined to the wing of the first cherub.¹³ The wings of these cherubim extended twenty cubits; the cherubim stood on their feet, facing the nave.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 3 verses 11 to 13)

Oh God my Father, as in the case of the Cherubim we are to keep our eyes on Your presence while at the same time give each other the much needed spiritual physical, psychological, social, and even financial support where and when necessary each according to one's resources Amen.

¹⁴ And Solomon made the curtain of blue and purple and crimson fabrics and fine linen, and worked cherubim into it.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 3 verses 14)

Oh God my Father Solomon placed the Cherubim in the major parts of the temple, I pray that I also place You in every place that I go so that Your presence will always be with me Amen.

¹⁵ In front of the house he made two pillars thirty-five cubits high, with a capital of five cubits on the top of each. ¹⁶ He made encircling chains and put them on the tops of the pillars; and he made one hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains. ¹⁷ He set up the pillars in front of the temple, one on the right, the other on the left; the one on the right he called Jachin, and the one on the left. Boaz.

(The Second Book of Chronicles Chapter 3 verses 15 to 17)

Oh God my beloved Father, if I were to build two pillars I would call them Faith and Love, thus showing that without You and Your love my life would be empty and meaningless, however You are the rock of my salvation Amen.

I would like to end thiss third Chapter of the second book of Chronicles with the following prayer.

Oh God my beloved Father You are my dwelling place, the kingdom and temple of my heart, every day of my life Your relationship with me continues to grow. The adornments of our temple are acts of love, faith and kindness, Amen

Thank You Jesus.
